Hier Ihre Antworten:
If I listen to your songs they produce positive or maybe sentimental moods.
How is your mood when you are producing songs?
It’s different each time. I produce when I feel sad because it makes me feel better. It’s like creating a secret place to hide in that no one else will know about. It can be very comforting, or very frustrating: sometimes when I feel good and make music I get really angry or sad when the result sucks. And then I feel worthless. It’s like riding a rollercoaster. But most of the time I’m somewhere in between, which is the best for me and the ones around me. I guess you could say I produce all the time, high or low.
How did you start to make music?
I started to play acoustic guitar when I was 12 or 13 years old. I don’t know why but I guess I just liked the music as an expression (and I thought playing in a band was the coolest thing ever). I wrote my own songs from the very beginning when I just knew three chords. It suited me just fine as I could lock the door to my room to just play and sing. Mum called me “diva” haha. I probably was a very unsocial and angry teenager. But it felt like I have found home or something. I stopped doing sports and started making music.
Why do you post your songs in the internet for free? Is there an ideology behind your strategy?
It’s very simpel. I want as many people as possible to find my music. As I thought about it I found that internet is probably the best way. I used to play live a lot with the band Alien She and sell demos, but it’s just to much work. I love making music and if I can share it with people it’s even better. Then I’m happy. It’s so amazing to get emails from people in Brazil and Australia (and Germany of course) who wants me there for concerts! When I think about doing records it scares me because of all the money involved. Money is scary. And of course, I like the idea of free music on the internet.
If you could choose an artitst you could do a remix for – whom would you chosse?
Feist.
What is the question you never have been asked in an interview, but you are
looking forward to be ask ?
How do you cook your noodles?
How do you discribe your style of music?
The blogs usually defines the music as indietronica or pop, labels that are of less importance to me. I describe the music by the instruments I use – piano, synthesizer, acoustic and electric guitar, melodion and a whole bunch of keyboards topped with multiple layers of vocals.
You play guitar. Are you influenced by your instrument in the way of how you make music?
I used to write all my songs on guitar but now I don’t. At the moment I’m more influenced by the piano, it’s a new thing to me and it’s so exciting to explore what you can do with it. Using a lot of different instruments is very inspiring.
Have you ever been in Germany, or have you had a concert in germany, or
would you travel to germany for a concert also you would not get paid for
it?
I was in Berlin this summer and must go back soon. It was really nice. Actually some plans are being made for a small tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but nothing have yet been settled. Depending on what kind of gig and if I would get money covering the travelling expences, it would sure be a thing to do! I like Germany.
Thank you for the interview!
